FAQ
Is it possible I'll get seasick?
Moreton Bay is sheltered from the ocean swell by the North Stradbroke and Moreton Islands. It's unlikely that you'll feel seasick, however, there are plenty of seasickness remedies available, with advice, from your chemist. Your skipper advises that you should avoid spicy foods and excessive alcohol on the previous night, and make sure you are well rested. During the charter, drink plenty of water, and avoid foods that may disagree with your stomach.
How do I get to East Coast Marina?
East Coast Marina is the usual pick up point when the Operator is operating in Moreton Bay....generally, September through to May. It is situated on Royal Esplanade at Manly, one of Brisbane's beautiful bayside suburbs. It is about a 25 minutes from the airport or the city by car or taxi. In the train, take the Cleveland line to Manly station, where it's about 10 minutes walk to the marina.
Is there parking available at East Coast Marina?
There is car park at the marina. There is generally car spaces available. Times when you're not likely to get a park are Saturday and Sunday morning, when the weather is good, or a long weekend. (The car park is locked before 7:00AM and after 5:00PM, so I will then need to open the gate for you.) If you find there is no parks available, come into the car park to drop your gear off and then either park in the street, or in the public car park, just to the south of East Coast Marina.
What if the weather is bad on the day of the charter?
Our staff will be monitoring the weather as your charter date approaches. Your skipper will contact you the day prior to the charter if there are weather issues. A charter may be cancelled or postponed at the Skipper's discretion.
What is the depot operating hours?
8:30am to 5:30 pm
Are pets allowed onboard?
No pets are allowed.
Is smoking allowed onboard?
All the charters are smoking free.

Amendments
Please check the terms of each vessel to see whether amendment fees apply. Please also note that for some vessels an amendment is treated as a new booking and the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). In the case of boat rental/yacht charter, if the hire or number of days is increased, an additional deposit may be required, while reduction in rental periods or price may reduce the total, but the deposit amount will remain unchanged.
Vessel Capacity and fitness to charter (for Bareboats only)
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vessel you charter is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of passengers allowed is indicated next to each vessel on this website. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A boat or trip supplier can refuse to hire a vessel to any person who is in their opinion unfit to skipper or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.
